Dr. Eifler is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine. Dr. Eifler is a doctor on staff at Phoenix Spine and Joint who performs surgery in Goodyear and Scottsdale. Dr. Eifler is a native of Oklahoma. He did his Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas where he also did a fellowship in Sports Medicine.

As an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Eifler treats patients with shoulder and knee problems.

In the knee, Dr. Eifler commonly evaluates patients with knee pain, including sudden knee pain, as well as lower knee pain. Often these patients are found to have a torn knee meniscus. Dr. Eifler offers torn meniscus surgery as well as torn meniscus treatment, as well as tears of the anterior longitudinal ligament (ACL). These injuries often occur during sports and other activities. Dr. Eifler performs knee surgery; his fellowship training makes him a specialist in arthroscopic knee surgery, including arthroscopic meniscus repair surgery. As a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Eifler also sees patients with a torn ACL. In this video he reviews ACL tear symptoms as well as partial ACL tears. Dr. Eifler specializes in ACL tear treatment; in particular ACL tear surgery. Dr. Eifler favors the arthroscopic ACL surgery approach for ACL reconstruction because arthroscopic knee surgery recovery is remarkably faster than similar surgery done in the traditional approach.

In the shoulder, Dr. Eifler sees patients with shoulder pain, shoulder blade pain, and a dislocated shoulder. Often these patients are found to have bursitis, injuries, fractures, rotator cuff injury (rotator cuff tear), shoulder sprain as well as arthritis of the shoulder. He points out in the video that many of these patients do not need surgery and can be treated with shoulder pain exercises. As a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Eifler does perform shoulder surgery. He points out that arthroscopic shoulder surgery has advanced to where there is much less pain, quicker recovery, and better long term outcome than traditional shoulder surgery.
