What is treated with endoscopic rhizotomy?

The facet joints run along the rear of the spine, and there are a pair of them at the rear of every vertebra. DVR focuses on relieving facet joint pain by cutting off the pain signals from this joint. Each facet joint has a medial branch nerve running to each side of it, and it’s these nerves that carry signals, such as those for pain, from the facet joints. With DVR, our team uses an endoscope and other specialized and minimally invasive tools to cut the nerves running to the inflamed joint. This stops the pain signals coming from the joint, and in turn, the lack of pain signals helps reduce back pain.
